EXPO 2031 MINNESOTA USA SHOWCASES ITS SOCIAL IMPACT at the Minnesota Business Partnership / Partnership Experience
More Than an Event: Expo 2031 Showcases a Nonprofit Platform for Minnesota and the United States

What does it mean to build a World’s Fair-era international event for the 21st century?
For Expo 2031 Minnesota USA, the answer begins with purpose.
This week, Expo 2031 participated in the Minnesota Business Partnership Experience introducing business and civic leaders to the nonprofit mission behind the project and the opportunity to help shape what comes next.
Expo 2031 is being developed not simply as an event, but as a nonprofit platform for international collaboration.
Its theme: Human / Nature, Where Humanity & Horticulture Meet provides a framework for bringing together industries and communities that do not always find themselves in the same conversation.
Agriculture.
Technology.
Health and wellbeing.
Tourism.
Food.
Water.
Energy.
Advanced manufacturing.
Education.
Research.
Horticulture.
Cities and communities.
The natural environment.
Each has a role in determining how people will live in the decades ahead.
Expo 2031 creates a place to explore those connections at global scale.

The nonprofit model is intended to convene public, private, philanthropic, academic and community partners around shared programming and long-term outcomes initiated by hosting the first A1 International Horticultural Exposition in U.S. History / the next Great American World's Fair in Lakeville, Minnesota in 2031.
That means participation can take many forms.
Companies can help demonstrate technologies and ideas.
Industry associations can convene their members.
Universities and researchers can contribute knowledge.
Community organizations can connect the Expo to people throughout Minnesota.
Destinations can become part of the visitor journey.
Countries can share horticulture, innovation and culture.
And young people can participate in programs that connect the questions of 2031 to the generation that will inherit their answers.
For Minnesota businesses, there is another opportunity.
International events can serve as meeting places for commerce and relationships that would otherwise take years to create.
Expo 2031 is intended to help connect Minnesota and U.S. companies with international markets while providing global organizations a new point of entry into Minnesota and the United States.
The six months of Expo 2031 will be visible.
But the greater opportunity is what can be built around it before, during and after 2031.
Not simply an event to attend.
A platform to participate in.
