BIOMIMETICS'25
Biomimetics International’s Official Expo Program Partnership ensures that Expo 2031 serves as a global showcase of nature-inspired innovation—where every system, structure, and story draws wisdom from the natural world.
Their work transforms Expo 2031 into a model for regenerative, adaptive design, and their legacy will live on through ongoing research partnerships, educational programming, and the establishment of a Center for Bio-Inspired Futures in Minnesota.
Expo 2031 Invites Biomimetics Industry Leaders to the Global Stage
Expo 2031 is designed as a platform for proof of concept to be center stage …open data, performance tracking, and measurable impact.
After the Expo, these designs can become contracts, policies, and products that change how we live.
We’re not just displaying innovation — we’re setting the stage to deploy it.

"Good afternoon, Biomimetics25
These last two days have been nothing short of inspiring. The depth of expertise shared here, the innovative work being done by your organizations, and the spontaneous, idea-filled water cooler conversations in between sessions — all point to one thing: we are entering a defining moment for biomimetics.

These are exciting times in the United States. We have the opportunity to set the global stage for this industry — to convene a powerful consortium of experts, associations, academia, and related industries to collectively demonstrate the importance of biomimetics in all its forms.

If I haven’t met you yet, I’m Wendy Meadley, CEO of Expo 2031, the organizing entity that holds the official rights to host the first A1 International Horticultural Exposition in U.S. history — right here in Minnesota, from May through October of 2031."

Congratulations on a Great Event!
Coffman Union, Mississippi Room
University of Minnesota
Hosted at the University of Minnesota, this industry strategy symposium convenes the global biomimicry community, composed of academia, researchers, policymakers, native nations, and businesses. Now in its second year, this event is the first of its kind to gather key players across the growing industry and will promote and catalyze: industry dialogue, cutting-edge research, best practices, collaboration and partnerships, standardized methodologies, and economic action at scale in the many emerging fields of biomimicry.

Participants enjoyed inspiring and substantive networking, knowledge sharing, and advocacy across diverse biomimicry applications from construction and health to textiles, consumer goods, AI, education, and more.
